Archaeological excavation at Bennetstown 2 was undertaken by ACS Ltd from December 2005 to January 2006. Post-excavation analysis is complete.
The site comprised a spread of burnt stone consistent with a fulacht fiadh. No pits or other features were exposed though the spread does extend under the marl in the flood zone of the Tolka river.
