Preliminary Results of Excavation
Archaeological excavation at Bennetstown 3 was undertaken by ACS Ltd from February to March 2006. Post-excavation analysis is ongoing.
Two discrete areas were located containing a number of pits and postholes. Some of the postholes to the east were quite substantial. No distinct settings could be discerned for the postholes nor any definitive function for either area of activity.
